End of June Wrap Up

I am well behind in my blogging which is something I have been trying to remedy this month but I have also been sewing flat out in an attempt to make up the fabric that followed me home during the course of the month as well.  I have to say, my stash busting efforts have been pretty much a failure but in saying that I have managed to make up some fabric that has been taking up valuable space for too long.  The above is not the complete picture because I also made 4 pairs of Stylearc Elle pants for my Mum that have not been photographed.

While I bought the navy sweatshirting to make up my hoodie, most of what I made this month was from my stash.  Just about all of it was bought in end of winter sales last year.  The beige rugby knit, I trialed my Harper Jacket with has been in my stash for several years.  It feels good to use a piece of fabric that has been around for so long.

The coated Ginger Jeans were my most expensive make because I had to import 100 buttons from overseas.  The buttons that the fabric shops sell are next to useless so at the time it seemed like a good idea.  That was until I found I could buy exactly the same thing from China for $15.00 and they work just as well.  I have now bought tarnished brass buttons as well.

Another relatively expensive make was the grey merino Stylearc Harper.  I like to use textured polyester thread in the loopers of my overlocker and I had never bought grey before.  These are massive reels and last forever but do work out quite expensive to purchase. This grey thread will be used for many different items but as I like to document the cost, I have included them here.
